Hongkong Trademark Registration

•  application requirement ：
(1)apply with the name of the company
(2) apply with the name of individual ( should attain the age of 18 years.)

2.document for application ：
（ 1 ） the applicant's qualification certificate
a. apply with the name of company, please attach the copy of business license.
b. apply with the name of individual, please attach the copy of ID card or passport.

2. the address for application
Please indicate the Chinese mainland or Hongkong address which you want to register and list the details. If don't have Hongkong address, RICH can provide.

3.Trademark design

Provide clear trademark design ( 12 copies ), the dimension of the design should be between 5cm * 5cm to 10cm * 10cm ; electronic LOGO
Remark: If the trademark is colorful, please specify the color. When use the trademark in the future, the color of the trademark should be same as the specified.
If the trademark is white and black, then any color can be used in the future.

4.List the commodity or service which are going to be registered, indicate the category of trademark.
All the commodity or service should be sorted through the table for the classification of trademark registration, which you can click “the table for the classification of trademark registration” in this website to check.

Time and expense of application for trademark
If there is no defect or objection in the relevant application, then the whole process ( from receiving the application from the Trade Mark Registry to approve the registration of the trademark)? will take 6 months.

The relevant checking fee for each trademark and each category: 1000 HK$; application fee: 4800 HK$; Once we success in application, the term of valid is 10 years. During this period, we will not charge any more. After this 10 years, it will become permanent registration.
