1. The use of trademark: American trademark have prior use principle, so using the trademark in advance is more important than registration
2. Trademark Registration: When applying for registration, you should provide one certifate to indicate that this trademark is already been used in America. If you don't have this certificate,then you should swear how to use it after the application before the registration, and provide the certificate which indicates you will use it in American to prove it.
3. Category of trademark ( Original trademark ): to describe the your operational commodity and have the will use it, then the exclusive trademark owner should apply for the registration.

Service mark: It's not denoted commodity, but for the provided service.
4. The category of American trademark registration: same as the internationla category.
5.Time of application: It takes about 12 to 18 months.
6. Term of Validity: 10 years from the date of registration, when it's expired, you should apply for renew the registration.
7. The instruction for using registered trademark: you should make the pronouncement every five years after registration,
Amercian PTDL
Patent of invention: The term of validity is 20 years caculated from the date of application, and you should pay the maintenance fees for 3 times, separate as the third and a half year, the seventh year and the eleventh and a half year. And it needs the government review, then the government will issue the registration certificate and publish at the meantime.
PTDL for the new design: the term of validity is 14 years calculated from the? registration. It no need to pay yearly fee.
